Kelpo Tools. The mascot is smiling and has the self-confidence of a much bigger person.

Small, friendly tools for Unity.

the tools

Every Kelpo tool started as something I needed for my own games. I built them small and fast, without extra fluff. Now I'm cleaning them up and putting them on the Unity Asset Store, at prices a hobby budget can handle. The first one is out.

Kelpo 3D Multitool

Model · Sculpt · UV · Paint · Colliders · Export

I got tired of opening a full 3D program every time a game needed one small prop. With this you block out a shape, sculpt it, unwrap it, paint it right on the surface, add colliders and export the result as a prefab. All inside Unity. The tools are basic on purpose. They cover what you need most of the time, and they are quick.

What is this? Only Kelpo knows. Will it ever see daylight? I don't think even Kelpo knows. One dimension less than the other one, so it should be easier. That's the theory anyway.

Something might wiggle here one day. Kelpo has a napkin sketch of it somewhere. Whether the napkin turns into a tool is anyone's guess, Kelpo's included.

Kelpo Audio Toolkit

Instruments · Creature Voices · Babble Speech

I wanted game sounds without sample packs and without that cheap synth bleep. This one makes all audio with code, so there are no sound files at all. You can build instruments, give creatures voices, and make characters speak gibberish that sounds like real talking. Small random changes keep every sound a little different each time it plays.

There is one more thing on the bench. It moves, that much I can say. It will be shown when it is good enough. That is the rule here.

kelpo (Finnish) means decent, worthy, does the job. That is the whole idea here: tools I built for my own use, kept small and easy to learn, sold cheap. Good enough to ship.
